Core Data: Index BTCfi, Staking, and EVM Contracts
Index Core's Bitcoin staking, BTCfi protocols, and contract events in one pipeline, decoded and delivered to your own database. Real-time and complete historical data, no node to run.
Core, built by Core DAO, calls itself "The Bitcoin everything chain": an EVM-compatible Layer 1 that secures itself with Bitcoin rather than competing with it. Its Satoshi Plus consensus pulls from three sources at once, with Bitcoin miners directing hash power, Bitcoin holders timelocking BTC, and CORE holders staking the native token to elect validators. The headline feature is self-custodial Bitcoin staking, where BTC earns yield without ever being wrapped, bridged, or leaving the holder's wallet, and that staked BTC feeds Core's Bitcoin DeFi, or BTCfi, apps. You can read how the team frames it at coredao.org.
What makes Core interesting also makes its data unusual. The execution layer is plain EVM, so contracts, tokens, and decoded calls look familiar, but the activity that matters most lives in the staking and BTCfi layers that sit on top. Indexing Co covers Core in a single pipeline, decodes the raw chain into the shape you want, and delivers it to your own PostgreSQL, warehouse, or webhook. Real-time and full history, with no node to operate.
Why Core data is hard
What Indexing Co delivers for Core
Stand up and maintain the whole stack yourself.
- Run a Core archive node or wire up a third-party RPC.
- Decode the Satoshi Plus system contracts behind staking and validator elections.
- Track ABIs for each BTCfi protocol, plus proxy upgrades, by hand.
- Build backfill, reorg handling, and real-time delivery from scratch.
One pipeline sources, decodes, and delivers Core to your store.
- Core contract events, staking activity, and decoded txs in a single pipeline.
- Decoded data, shaped by your JavaScript transform.
- Lands in your PostgreSQL, BigQuery, warehouse, or webhook.
- Real-time delivery plus complete backfilled history. No node, no RPC babysitting.
What you can index
| EVM data type | On Core, for example |
|---|---|
| Contract events and logs | Bitcoin staking delegations, validator elections |
| Token transfers (ERC-20, ERC-721) | CORE transfers, BTCfi LP and vault tokens |
| Decoded transactions and traces | Dual Staking actions, lending borrows and repays |
| Protocol and account state | Validator sets, staked BTC positions, reward accrual |
A transform, not a subgraph
You write the transform in JavaScript, not AssemblyScript, and change it without re-indexing from block zero. Indexing Co runs your function over each block server-side: decode the logs you care about and return rows for your destination.
// Indexing Co transform: reshape each block into rows for your database
function transform(block) {
const results = [];
const signatures = [
'event Transfer(address indexed from, address indexed to, uint256 value)'
];
for (const tx of block.transactions || []) {
for (const log of tx.receipt?.logs || []) {
const event = utils.evmDecodeLogWithMetadata(log, signatures);
if (!event) continue;
results.push({
chain: block._network,
block: Number(block.number),
tx_hash: tx.hash,
contract_address: log.address?.toLowerCase(),
from: event.decoded.from,
to: event.decoded.to,
value: event.decoded.value,
});
}
}
return results;
}
Core with Indexing Co
You want full control of node infrastructure and have the team to operate a Core archive node, decode the Satoshi Plus staking contracts, and manage BTCfi ABIs in-house.
You want Core staking activity, BTCfi protocol events, and decoded transactions delivered to your own database, with real-time plus complete history and no infrastructure to run.

FAQ
Do I need to run a Core node?
No. Indexing Co sources Core blocks, logs, and traces for you, including full historical data, so you never operate an archive node or babysit an RPC endpoint.
Can I index Bitcoin staking and BTCfi protocols on Core?
Yes. Point a pipeline at the Satoshi Plus staking contracts or any BTCfi protocol on Core, and we decode delegations, validator elections, and reward events against the right ABI.
Does Indexing Co handle Core reorgs and proxy upgrades?
Yes. The pipeline accounts for chain reorganizations and tracks proxy implementation changes so your decoded data stays correct as contracts upgrade.
Where does the Core data go?
Into your own destination: PostgreSQL, BigQuery, a warehouse, or a webhook. You define the output schema and own the storage.
Can I get complete historical Core data?
Yes. We backfill from your chosen start block and merge it with real-time data, so your Core dataset is gap-free from genesis forward if you want it.
